All Dayton Metro Libraries will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The libraries will re-open on Saturday, July 5th.

In 2006, there were more than 4.7 million visits to the public libraries in Montgomery County. That is more than attendance at Kings Island, the Dayton Dragons and the Cincinnati Bengals combined (and we don’t even play on ESPN!). A recent study that looked at local library numbers also showed that we provide $3.69 in value for every tax dollar spent. Judging by all those visits, it looks like lots of people already knew that the library is the best deal in town. Read the entire study
